Spring Meeting

We regret to inform you that our Spring Lunch must be cancelled due to the refurbishment works planned for the Bat and Ball Inn. The refurbishment, which was initially scheduled for last year, will now take place in March and April, making it impossible for us to host the event as originally intended. However, we are pleased to confirm that our Autumn Lunch will proceed as planned.

Autumn Meeting

10TH OCTOBER WITH TIM TREMLETT

Tremlett, Timothy Maurice (376) born Wellington, Somerset, 26.7.1956. Tim's father played for England and captained Somerset, where Tim was born, but the family moved to Hampshire, and he played for the 2nd XI in 1973, just before his 17th birthday. He was principally a medium-fast bowler in his early career, and in July 1976, he made his first-class debut at Hove. It would be another year before his next Championship game, at Cardiff, but he began appearing in Hampshire’s limited-overs sides, and in 1978, as the departures of Richards and Roberts disrupted Hampshire’s season, he held his place in the side, playing in the match v Middlesex at Bournemouth as Hampshire clinched their second Sunday League title.  More here...
